The victim had a wound to the head as a sign that he was hit by a hard object before being set on fire. The suspect, identified as Joebert Camrot, 20, of Barangay San Pascual, who was allegedly a former student of the victim, surrendered.
Camrot said that his conscience was bothering him so he went to the police. The investigation revealed that Camrot was playing with his cellphone when Dela Cruz, who was allegedly drunk, came and shot the suspect.
In Camrot’s anger, he took a stick and hit the victim on the head and immediately startled. Due to anxiety and the possible intention to hide the crime, he allegedly took a dry leaf and then set the victim on fire.
It is believed that the victim was still alive when the suspect set him on fire. A tragic death was the substitute for the alleged arrogant act of a drunken teacher.
