Accordingly, she’s created uncertainty and doubt among people regarding the effectivity of the vaccine. To recall, the Sinovac arrived in the Philippines in 600,000 doses for the initial batch last February 28, as donated by the Chinese government.

“I hope that next time kung wala naman siyang masabi na tama, she just would maybe shut up,” said Duterte. He even expressed that they are currently trying hard to convince the people that it is safe, and the Vice President, creating a bubble of confusion to the people with accordingly the “half-truths” that she says, makes him irritated.

His irritation comes after she backed the call of some health workers for the Health Technology Assessment Council (HTAC) to review the said vaccine. The HTAC is a body under the Universal Health Care Act which is tasked to review the cost and the ethical and community impact of medicines, vaccines, health devices, and among others.

“Iyong galit ko hindi naman galit na galit na talagang gustong pumatay ng tao. Galit na more of an irritation. Iyong nairita ako sa binibitawan mong salita,” Duterte furthered. Meanwhile, vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said that a million dosage of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine will arrive in March.
