Multi-platinum singer and actress Geneva Cruz is known for her hit song “Kailan,” “Ang Gaan ng Feeling,” and “Anak Ng Pasig.” She’s one of the lead singers of the popular group “Smokey Mountain.”

Cruz started her showbiz career in 1989. In 1992, she became the very first and youngest winner of “The Voice of Asia” in Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan, Russia.

Geneva Cruz recently made rounds on social media after she was tagged as the “Pop Royalty” in the upcoming season of “Your Face Sounds Familiar.” The singer-actress took to her Facebook account to ask Sarah Geronimo’s fans not to be upset with her.

The 44-year-old celebrity shared the article about her upcoming show. In the caption, she said she said she was also shocked upon seeing the title on the Kapamilya program.

“Sa fans ni Sarah G., please don’t be upset with me; I didn’t ask them to give me that title, nagulat din ako na yan ang tawag sakin. I just want to be called by my name, and I only want to perform and not offend anyone,” she wrote.

Geneva Cruz said she already asked the executive producer of the network to change the description. She said she’s not expecting to win the singing and impersonation competition and that she just wants to transform into different musicians.
