Woman Injured After She Tries to Rescue Pet Dog From Incoming Train
A CCTV footage caught a woman who rapidly chases her pet dog as she tried to rescue it from the fast-approaching train in Manila.
Recently, the GMA’s Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho showed CCTV footage where a woman from Brgy 593, Sta. Mesa rapidly ran to the tracks while a train is approaching. The woman was identified as Rachelle, the 19-years-old dog owner.
In the footage, Rachelle chases his dog named buddy after it allegedly escaped from their house. Buddy ran into the train racks not knowing that there is an incoming danger.
Rachelle was able to save Buddy just in time. Unfortunately, she was hit by the oncoming train. When Elsie, her mother, heard that someone was hit by the train, she first thought it was just a dog.
But she was shocked and felt weak when she discovers that her daughter was the one who was run over by the train. According to Elsie, her daughter loves dogs. Rachelle has two, and 9-month-old Buddy is her favorite.
Buddy was given by her uncle as a gift, it was spoiled by Rachelle that it even sleeps beside her and brought cute dresses. Rachelle was found lying on the grass after she was hit.
She was quickly carried into a tricycle and brought to a hospital. Fortunately, after receiving immediate treatment, she survived and is now at the hospital’s ward.
According to Jessica Soho, medical findings showed that her hip bone was dislocated after being dragged by the train. Rachelle has to undergo another operation for metal implants.
Her doctor said that the surgery, post-surgery, and therapy should be successful as she could go back to her activities before the accident happened. To help Rachelle, “Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho” offered financial aid and a donor also gave Rachelle a wheelchair.
