PAGASA Says TD Vicky, Amihan & Frontal System to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Updates for Saturday (December 19)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Tropical Depression Vicky, amihan, and the Tail-end of a Frontal System would affect the country’s weather system.

On Saturday (December 19, 2020), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) released the latest weather updates. Three weather systems would affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that Tropical Depression Vicky with maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 55 kph has been last spotted at 130 kilometers west of Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.

Tropical Depression Vicky is expected to bring rains with gusty winds over Central and Western Visayas, Palawan, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Zamboanga Sibugay.

Vicky and the Tail-end of a Frontal System would bring cloud weather conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Metro Manila, CALABARZON, Bicol Region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, and the rest of MIMAROPA and Zamboanga Peninsula.

The northeast monsoon or locally known as Amihan would bring cloudy weather conditions with rains over the remaining parts of Luzon. the localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers over the rest of Mindanao.

Meanwhile, the coastal water conditions over Luzon, Central, Western Visayas, eastern Visayas and the eastern section of Mindanao would be moderate to rough. Slight to moderate surrounding sea condition is expected over the remaining parts of Mindanao, according to the weather bureau.
