Beauty Queens Fall Into Pond After Bridge Collapse During Pageant
Around 30 beauty queens fall and plunged into a pond after a bridge they were using suddenly collapsed during the pageant.
The beautiful candidates of Miss Thailand were having their performance during the second day of the competition in Chiang Mai, Thailand when the bridge suddenly collapsed. The incident happened happened at a popular café.
The aspiring beauty queens were striking a pose in front of the camera for pictures when the suspension bridge snapped. The bridge could not hold their weight and collapsed sending the gorgeous ladies into the filthy water.
Three contestants sustained minor injuries; one of them suffered wounds and bruises on forehead while the two others suffered minor scrapes. The beauty queens have been brought to the hospital for check-up but eventually discharged.
The restaurant owner Worapot Chatkanjana promised to cover the treatmenbt costs for the injured contestants. He doesn’t have any idea why the bridge collapsed knowing that it is strong.
“I’ll also pay for the other contestants to have their dresses cleaned professionally, i don’t know why the bridge broke. It is strong, but it just could not handle the weight of the women,” Chatkanjana said.
