Manny Pacquiao: Becoming The President Is His Longtime Dream?

Is it true that Manny Pacquiao has long been dreaming of becoming the President?

Senator Manny Pacquiao, as what Cong. Lito Atienza stated, has a longtime dream of becoming the President of the Philippines.

Atienza said that the boxing champ has mentioned about this even before he became a big name in the world of boxing as he is now. The former Mayor of Manila has been accompanying the Pinoy boxer in his fight abroad.

Based on the article from Pilipino Star Ngayon, Atienza revealed that Pacquiao is set to run for President in the 2022 elections. “He’s running for president,” the Buhay Partylist Representative said.

Lito Atienza added that Manny Pacquiao has mentioned this particular aspiration several times and the latter is serious about this. The older politician said that he told the boxing champ to think about this many times before deciding to do it.

The former mayor also shared that prior to Pacquiao’s popularity, his concern for the poor people has already aspire him to run for President someday.

“Nung unang panahon pa, hindi pa siya sikat na Manny Pacquiao nagsabi siya sa akin na kung magkakaroon siya pagkakataon tatakbo siyang pangulo. Sabi ko bakit? Sagot niya. ‘Kasi ang problema ng bansa ang mahihirap patuloy na naghihirap, ang mayayaman patuloy na yumayaman,we have to correct that,” Atienza shared and this statement from the boxing champ surprised him.

He added that now that Manny Pacquiao has all the financial means, he is ready to fulfill his aspiration to be the President of the Philippines. Lito Atienza also said that it is the right of the Senator to run for President.

Just recently, the Senator was proclaimed as the new president of the ruling PDP-Laban National Party. Rumors also surfaced that his running mate will be Manila Mayor Isko Moreno for the next election.
