These 14 Philippine Universities were listed as among the best in Asia.
PHILIPPINE UNIVERSITIES – Here are the 14 top universities in the Philippines which made it to list as among the best in Asia 2021.
The QS Quacquarelli Symonds released their latest edition of annual list of Asia’s best higher education institutions. 650 universities were compared in Asia and 14 institutions included in the list are from the Philippines.
124 are from Mainland China, 107 from India, 105 from Japan, 88 from South Korea, 43 from Taiwan, 40 from Pakistan, 35 from Malaysia, 30 from Indonesia, and the rest from other parts of the continent.
Here are the 14 universities in the country that got included in the list:
- University of the Philippines
- Ateneo de Manila University
- De La Salle University
- University of Santo Tomas
- University of San Carlos
- Ateneo de Davao University
- Mapua University
- Silliman University
- Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology
- Adamson University
- Central Luzon State University
- Central Mindanao University
- Central Philippine University
- Xavier University
The UP is listed at 69th place climbing three notches compared to the previous year while the ADMU, DLSU, and UST are at 135th, 166th, and 186th place, respectively, where these three institutions all slid down from their rankings last year.
At 451-550 bracket is the University of San Carlos which dropped from 351-400. Ateneo de Davao University joined the 501-550 bracket and this university is not in the list last year. The Mapua, Silliman, and Mindanao State fell under 551-600 bracket.
Also, not in the list last year but got included now are Adamson, Central Luzon State, Central Mindanao, Central Philippine, and Xavier. Meanwhile, the Top 1 university in Asia 2021 according to the Quacquarelli Symonds’ (QS) latest university rankings released on Wednesday is the National University of Singapore (NUS) for the third consecutive year.
