Actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi revealed that she was a harassment victim and she recalled the moment she had this bad experience.
Ivana is known for her bubbly personality. Apparently, this is one of the traits that her fans are loving about her, especially when she does her YouTube videos. No wonder many netizens are avidly waiting for new contents.
However, Ivana admitted that there was also a dark part in her past. Based on the article from the Philippine Star, the actress-vlogger shared about this during an online interview.
“I’ve experienced so many harassments. Not just catcalling. I’ve experienced people touching my body without permission. This is not right. Doon ako palagi sa tama,” Ivana Alawi shared.
She said that she experienced this during the time when she worked in events and her modeling stints. Fans of the actress who is now being tagged as “pantasya ng bayan” knew that she had a humble beginning in the entertainment industry.
Those were her showbiz engagement before her popularity skyrocketed. With this, the actress said that people should respect other people.
“Especially mga babae, they deserve to be respected and they deserve to be loved. Women are very strong, women bring life to this world. Dapat niri-respeto sila,” she stressed.
Meanwhile, Ivana Alawi is now promoting her new movie ‘Sitsit’ with Jake Cuenca and Paulo Avelino. The latter produced the said film and he revealed the difficulty he had while shooting scenes with Ivana.
Paulo said that it is because people, especially men are so fond of the actress-vlogger and that everyone wanted to have a photo with her while they were shooting the movie.
