Paulo Avelino shares experience as a movie producer
Actor Paulo Avelino revealed the difficulty he encountered as a producer while filming the movie of actress-vlogger Ivana Alawi.
Paulo is one of the most sought-after leading men in the Philippine showbiz in this generation. Just like other artists, he also ventured into behind-the-camera projects.
Based on the article from Pilipino Star Ngayon, Paulo is the producer of the episode titled Aswang for the digital movie Sitsit. He shared his experience as a producer.
“I wanted also portfolio for my film production. Medyo mahirap kasi ‘pag full time na rin talaga. So I’m very thankful for this opportunity that we had for iWant,” Paulo Avelino shared.
The said movie is set to be released starting October 31 on iWantTFC. He also shared that at first it was not easy for them to find the female lead. Then, Dreamscape production mentioned Ivana Alawi and the production started immediately.
Paulo also revealed that it was difficult for them to shoot the scenes of the actress-vlogger in Poblacion, Makati. It is because of the male admirers of Ivana.
“Medyo mahirap din for the production kasi parang lahat gustong magpa-picture, gustong lumapit kay Ivana. Tapos hindi naman namin puwedeng ipasara totally ‘yung Poblacion no’ng time na ‘yon,” the actor-producer shared.
Despite the extra work that he has to do as a producer, Paulo Avelino said that he is happy doing this job. As a producer, he wants to have a good rapport with his co-workers and he does not want to impose that all his orders should be strictly followed.
“Nando’n pa rin ‘yung freedom nila for their creative expression of the shots, para sa mga artista. I’m just there to help and see what I can help with,” he said.
