Kim Chiu On PBB Auditionees Who Say #YesToABSCBNShutdown Before
KIM CHIU – Kapamilya star Kim Chiu reacted to ‘Pinoy Big Brother: Connect‘ auditionees who said #YesToABSCBNShutdown before.
Chinese-Filipina actress Kim Chiucame to prominence after winning the first season of ABS-CBN’s reality show “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition.” After her PBB stint, she appeared in several tv shows such as “Sana Maulit Muli,” “The Story of Us,” and “My Binondo Girl.”
The 30-year-old celebrity is now one of the most in-demand actresses of her generation and has a steady fanbase on all social media platforms. She credits the reality show for her breakthrough in 2006.
During the media conference for her horror film “U-Turn,” Kim Chiu was asked about the viral posts showing supposed auditionees of PBB: Connect having a history of using the #YesToABSCBNShutdown.
“Okay lang. At least hindi nanaig ‘yung sinabi nilang ‘Yes to ABS-CBN Shutdown.’ Meron pa ring liwanag…”
“Sa ginagawa nilang ‘yan, sinu-support pa rin nila ‘yung Kapamilya channel. So parang, kinain lang nila ‘yung sinabi nila!”
“Maganda rin, kasi at least nabigyan sila ng hope na maging isang housemate and matupad nila ‘yung pangarap nila for their family. Naniniwala pa rin — because of Kapamilya Channel, because of ‘Pinoy Big Brother’ opening the house again sa lahat ng mga nangangarap — na there’s still hope. Kahit na sinabi nilang ‘Yes to ABS-CBN Shutdown,’ naniniwala pa rin silang merong pag-asa dito sa ABS,” she added.

Kim Chiu also gave advice to the aspiring housemates who are now auditioning for the 9th edition of the reality show.
“Just be yourself. Huwag ka magpanggap na ito ka, ganiyan ka. Kasi kung ano ‘yung personality mo, iyan ‘yung magugustuhan nila, kasi gusto nila iba-ibang personality. May funny, may misteryoso. It’s a combination of different personalities in one house, kaya nga nag-ka-clash sila. Kung ano ka, iyon ‘yung ipakita mo, kasi iyon ‘yung mahalaga.”
Since its 2005 premiere, Pinoy Big Brother has produced several big-name stars including Maymay Entrata, James Reid, Sam Milby, and Gerald Anderson among others.
