Dog Injured After Being Hit w/ Arrow in Bacolod City
BACOLOD CITY – A dog shocked its owner after returning home struggling to move and injured with an arrow lodged in its body.
Residents and animal lovers expressed their concern after the dog was seen limping and struggling to move. The dog’s owner, known as Cha-cha, noticed that her pet looked weak when it came home and immediately checked what was wrong.
Cha-cha discovered that an arrow was stuck in the dog’s body. The woman said she did not know where the injury happened or who was responsible. She only learned about it after someone informed her that there was something attached to her pet.

“Hindi ko alam kung saan galing. May nakapagsabi lang na may nakakabit na sa kaniya. Siyempre, naawa naman ako. Parang tao rin sila. Mabait naman siya,” Cha-cha said.
The injured dog saddened her. She described her pet as gentle and harmless, making it difficult to understand why anyone would hurt the animal.
Concerned neighbors quickly stepped in to help. Together, they assisted Cha-cha in removing the arrow that had pierced the dog’s body. After the painful object was taken out, the dog began recovering its wound and is now continuing to heal under its owner’s care.
The fur mom suspects that some youths in the area may have been involved in the incident. According to information she received from local barangay officials, this possibility is being considered. She expressed hope that no one would ever repeat such an act against an innocent animal.
Animal welfare groups have also shown their willingness to help identify whoever harmed the dog. Advocates stressed that animals deserve care, protection, and respect from people.
