Several stars from Star Magic has already left and one of them is Julia Barretto who recently signed contract with Viva.
JULIA BARRETTO – Kapamilya actress Julia Barretto has confirmed leaving Star Magic and signed a five-year contract with Viva Artists Agency (VAA).
In a previous article, the Instagram page of Viva Entertainment introduces new member of the family, someone who is “stronger, fiercer, and brighter”. People were already guessing that it is Julia Barretto and officially today, the actress confirmed the rumors and signed a 5-year contract with Viva Artists Agency (VAA).
To recall, she’s a Star Magic talent since 2006 until the Congress junked the franchise renewal bid of her home network, ABS-CBN last July 10, 2020. The 23-year-old actress will have a virtual welcome press conference with VAA where her new projects will also be revealed.
Previously, president and CEO, Carlo Katigbak thanked the artists and employees who left the media company for their service to them and to the people. While he is also just as grateful to those who stayed amid their company’s suffering and endure the sacrifice just to continue serving the public.
Julia is Marjorie Barretto and Dennis Padilla’s daughter. She recently face a controversy after Jay Sonza falsely claimed that she is pregnant on first child with rumored boyfriend Gerald Anderson. She silenced the broadcaster with a formal complaint she filed before the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) with cases such as cyberlibel and violating Safe Spaces Act.
Her parents also condemned the unverified claims of Sonza against their daughter. People also believed that Julia has already faced enough issues and controversies in her career as an actress the previous year.
