Message of Carlo Katigbak for Employees Leaving ABS-CBN
CARLO KATIGBAK – The ABS-CBN President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) gave a message for the employees who are leaving the network.
The ABS-CBN which is one of the biggest broadcasting companies in the Philippines shut down its broadcast operation more than three months ago. Its franchise reached its expiry.
The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) released a Cease and Desist Order against the Kapamilya network. Immediately, the network shut down its broadcast operation.
Thirteen hearings were held in the House of Representatives to tackle the issues against the ABS-CBN Network. The executive officials attended the said hearing to air the side of the network.
However, ABS-CBN failed to obtain a new franchise. The 70-11 voting result of the House Franchise Committee denied the network of a fresh 25-year franchise.

Currently, the network is reaching its audience through cable channels and online like YouTube and Facebook. A massive employee retrenchment took place and many people also decided to receive offers from other networks.
Recently, in a virtual meeting of the stockholders of ABS-CBN, the network’s president and CEO, Carlo Katigbak, gave a message for those who are leaving the network.
“Thank you to those who are leaving ABS-CBN for the years you have given to the company and for the service you have given to our audience,” he said.
Based on a report on Pep, Carlo Katigbak also thanked those who are staying with ABS-CBN for “enduring the sacrifice in orderto continue serving the public”.
The employees who are staying with the network agreed to decreasing their salary to help the company. Katigbak assured that nothing can take away the network’s “spirit of service” and they are focusing now on giving entertainment and delivering news to the Filipino people.

Dapat bago mag Election sa 2022 kahit papano ipalathala ng ABS-CBN sa lahat ng mga Pahayagan at mga Tarpaulin sa buong bansa ang 70 Tongressman este’ Congressman pala na bumotong ipabasura ang Franchised Renewal ng Network para ipaala-la sa mga Tao at ang mga Tao na mismo ang huhusga kung Tama at Karapat-dapat ba silang Iboto at Ihalal uli dba?Huwag sanang magpadala sa mga Vote-Buying tuwing election,Tanggapin ang Pera at Iboto dapat ang Tama at Karapat-dapat!👍🙏
Hoping against hope that abs-cbn, thru the help of the people’s initiative will get back its franchise as it is doing much in helping everyone specially the poor.
For those leaving the network, yes, thank you really as you did made the people happy and we understand that you need to be employed for you and your family’s needs.
Iam deeply saddened that abscbn been divested of his rights to operate . Seems the franchise has expired and was decided thru majority vote in the lower house to close contrary to the decision of the upper house and the supreme court . You know Sir , why cry over a sick cow , burry him and buy or open or establish a new one under new name , the people recognizes you whichever you will go , the people will follow you .. meaning establish a new broadcasting network , under new name but the same work force . I think its not good to allow some employees to leave, the people will love to see you together again have survived the challenges but has not defied any laws ,under new name maybe .. o no .. only a suggestion ,the people are missing you from the tv plus box you distributed from the public here and abroad , under channel 2 .o no ..
11,000 employee who no work at all you no mercy for the family who are effective. But because you want to be number one. Remember there is no forever. You want to hero. You gonna be KIDDING ME.

Nakakalungkot lang wala ng magandang entertainment ngayon na mapapanooran, at mga magandang teleserya. Pero may magandang effect din, nakatipid sa kuryente, wala ng nagbubukas ng tv.
