Robin Padilla Slams Senators Who Are “Paulit-ulit na nagsisilbi sa Senado”

Robin Padilla has this statement against his fellow senators

Senator Robin Padilla criticized long-serving senators on Saturday for failing to deliver real improvements to the lives of ordinary citizens.

Padilla is one of the prominent names in the Philippine entertainment industry. Coming from a well-known showbiz clan, he curved his own path as an action star, as he was dubbed the “Bad Boy of Philippine Cinema.”

In 2022, Padilla had his historic Senate win. Running under the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP) banner and supported by the Marcos-Duterte “UniTeam” slate, the actor-turned-politician shocked his critics when he topped the 2022 senatorial race with 26.6 million votes.

Since last year, his supporters have been expecting him to run for a higher position, or if not, seek reelection. In December 2025, the Senator said in a statement that he would not run in the 2028 elections.

However, in February this year, he said that he is open to being the running mate of Vice President Sara Duterte, who expressed her aim to run for president.

In a recent social media post, Sen. Robin Padilla caught the attention of many netizens. He slammed those Senators who served for several terms already.

He also said that nothing has changed in the sitauation of poor Filipinos.

He argued that during the term veteran senators, the wealthy prospered, the impoverished suffered more, and the middle class fell behind.

The senator pointed out that only state employees saw salary improvements, while everyday laborers continued to struggle for higher pay.

Sen. Robin Padilla questioned the country’s national debt, which has escalated to roughly P18 trillion. He condemned the government for borrowing in the post-pandemic era, which, in his view, was a contrast with other nations achieving economic progress amid inflation.
