News5 Head Speaks On Speculations that Persons from Other Network Will Join TV5 News
News5 head Luchi Cruz-Valdes put an end to the rumored network transfer of former ABS-CBN News anchor Ted Failon to TV5.
Following the denial of the franchise bid of ABS-CBN, a lot of people working in the network lost their job. It was last July 10 when the House Franchise Committee voted on whether or not to give the network a fresh 25-year franchise.

More than three months ago, the Kapamilya network put its broadcast operation on hold after the National Telecommunication Commissions (NTC) released a Cease and Desist Order against them. The franchise of the network has reached its expiry.
Thirteen hearings were held in the House to tackle the issues surrounding the network. Last July 10, 70 lawmakers voted to deny the network on its franchise bid while only 11 showed support.
Many employees of ABS-CBN lost their job. Some also had to accept offers from other networks as the Kapamilya network cannot anymore operate fully.
One of the ABS-CBN News anchors, Ted Failon, bid goodbye to ABS-CBN Network. It was followed by rumors that he will be transferring to TV5.
Recently, the rumors that Ted Failon is transferring to TV5 were put to an end. News5 head Luchi Cruz-Valdes confirmed that the former ABS-CBN News anchor will be joining them in the news field.
The confirmation came when Luchi was asked of the personalities from other networks who will be transferring to the TV5 network. With regard to those who will join the entertainment field, the News5 Head did not give names as she stressed that she has no idea about the actors or actresses that will be joining the Kapatid network.
