Areas in the Philippines Under GCQ, MGCQ (LISTS)

AREAS IN THE PHILIPPINES UNDER GCQ & MGCQ – Here are the lists of the cities and provinces in the Philippines that are under a General Community Quarantine and a Modified GCQ until September 30.

Over 200 nations and territories including the Philippines are affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In PH, the country is still under community quarantine measures to curb the spread of the disease.

According to the Department of Health (DOH), they have logged 220,819 cases of coronavirus in the country as of this writing. Out of the said total number, 3,558 deaths and 157,562 recoveries were recorded by the health department.

The COVID-19 pandemic is undeniably shaking the healthcare system of the country. Several hospitals reached their full capacity for coronavirus cases amid the pandemic.

Everyone now must wear a face mask when going outdoors. Also, the practice of social distancing must be observed.

Recently, the new community quarantine measures were announced. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, here are the lists of areas in the Philippines under GCQ and MGCQ as approved by President Rodrigo Roa Duterte:

Areas Under GCQ:

  • Metro Manila
  • Bulacan
  • Batangas
  • Tacloban City
  • Bacolod City

Areas Under MGCQ:

  • Luzon
    • Nueva Ecija
    • Quezon Province
    • Cavite
    • Laguna
    • Rizal
  • Visayas
    • Iloilo City
    • Cebu City
    • Lapu-Lapu City
    • Mandaue City
    • Talisay City
    • Minglanilla, Cebu
    • Consolacion, Cebu

According to the report, these areas in the Philippines will be under GCQ and MGCQ until September 30. Pres. Duterte placed Iligan City in Lanao del Norte under the modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) until the end of the month.
