Darryl Yap Clarifies Misconceptions of Netizens to “KPL | Online Class”
DARRYL YAP- The director of “KPL | Online Class” trilogy clarifies the accusations and misconceptions of netizens to the short film.
The controversial KPL | Online Class has now 10 million views since it was uploaded on August 7, Friday on VinCentiments’ YouTube channel. However, the video has earned elicited comments from the netizens.
The video of student Penelope (Loren Marinas) ‘s expressing resentments related to the online class is about ten minutes long. The video where Penelope, the original war shocker expresses the struggles of a student when the online class starts in August goes viral.
It was written by Darryl Yap, the writer-director of last year’s sleeper hit movie #Jowable starring Kim Molina, and the BL series Sakristan. Vincent L. Asis is the director, cinematographer, and editor.

This is the third in a trilogy of grievances in the online class. The first was BUNGANAY 2 was uploaded on June 24 and has garnered more than 6 million views.
The story is about the mother expressing fury to her daughter and to the online class. It was also written by Darryl Yap, with Vincent Asis as director, cinematographer, and editor. It features Rowena Quejada and Trisha Lopez.
The second in the trilogy is the part of a teacher (Roanna Marie) —KPL | RESBAK KAKAK 2 (Online Class). This is focusing on the side of teachers when the online classes start. It was uploaded on July 1 and has garnered over 1 million views.
Darryl Yap is also its writer, with Vincent Asis as director, cinematographer, and editor. According to the article of PEP, KPL means “Kung Pwede Lang.”
Many complained about part 3 of the trilogy for allegedly slandering teachers. Darryl Yap released an official statement on August 9, Sunday afternoon on VinCentiments’ Facebook page regarding this issue.
