Angel Locsin Wants Long-term Sentence w/ No Parole for Corrupt Officials

Actress Angel Locsin has this statement against corrupt officials.

ANGEL LOCSIN – Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin slams corrupt officials and expressed this strong statement against them for doing this to people.

Corruption is one of the major problems of the country. And recently under investigation are the illegalities within the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth). Dismayed and angered are the people and many celebrities and famous personalities.

And among the most vocal over current events of today since the outbreak happened is Kapamilya actress Angel Locsin as she finally broke her silence. This time, it is about the corrupt officials and their illegalities involving great amount of money from the people.

Initially, she expressed being against of death penalty but if this will be done to those who proved guilty of corruption, she would be in favor. However, she immediately changed her mind, she thought of a “better idea” less morbid than that what she though of – it would be a lifetime sentence with no parole for these officials who “have no heart.”

The outspoken Kapamilya actress reacted to this article about Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel “Migz” Zubiri exposing PhilHealth’s  “money-making schemes” which included 18-bed infirmary in the Davao region getting Php 10 million a year in benefit claims and PhilHealth officials receiving “rebates” from clinics.

Meanwhile, here are some alleged corruption and controversies of PhilHealth:

  • Cataract surgery scam
  • Excessive travel allowance for PhilHealth interim chief Celestina Ma. Jude de la Serna who spent half a million pesos on hotel stays and travels and at least Php 627,293.04 were allocated to accommodations, flights, and terminal fees
  • ‘Ghost patients’ kidney treatments and these patients are already dead
