Michael V. made this clarification about his post
Kapuso comedian Michael V. clarified the ‘I Stand With The President’ post quoting his past statement about President Rodrigo Duterte.
In his recent social media post, the comedian shared his original post about the Chief Executive which was published in May of 2016. That was after Duterte won the presidency. Bitoy even shared a sketch of the President.
Basically, the caption of his post was a call for unity. He said that regardless of who is the President, Filipinos should support because running the country is not a one-man show.
“Manalig kang alam ng Diyos and mabuti at masama. WALANG DAPAT IKATAKOT KUNG ANG GINAGAWA AY TAMA,” he stressed.
This particular post of Michael V was used by “SARA DU30 Supporters 2022. It included the heading “I Stand With The President” and the photo of the Kapuso star.
In his post, Bitoy pointed out that there is nothing wrong to use his statement for quotation but it is not right to use this as a campaign material.

He reiterated that his post was not recent and it was already four years ago. “Madalas kong nakikita sa circulation ‘tong quote ko na ‘to which I posted more than 4 YEARS AGO nu’ng nanalo si Digong as President, to encourage people to accept and respect the election results, consistent with the “Dapat Tama” campaign na ginawa ko with GMA Network,” he explained.
Several netizens who commented on the post of Bitoy attested that this kind of post has been circulating on social media for quite some time now. There were also those who slammed the people behind this political campaign that used the named of the comedian without him knowing about it.
On the other hand, there were those who still wished for the continued recovery of Michael V as he revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19.
