Update on Coronavirus Cases in PH For Today, May 27 (Wednesday)

CORONAVIRUS CASES IN PH – The total coronavirus or COVID-19 cases in the Philippines rose by 380 today as reported by the Department of Health (DOH), May 27.

Community quarantines are still up in the Philippines now. It is over the coronavirus or COVID-19 outbreak in the country. It is one of the over 200 nations and territories with confirmed cases of the disease.

Metro Manila, Laguna, and Cebu City are under a Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) now. They are the areas considered as high risk for coronavirus.

With regards to the other areas, most parts of the country now is under a General Community Quarantine (GCQ). It is per the announcement of the Malacañang Palace.

Coronavirus Cases in PH

Despite the easing of the quarantine in most areas in the country, everyone was reminded not to be complacent. The wearing of face mask and social distancing must be observed.

Also, social gatherings are still prohibited. Everyone is encouraged to stay at home if not for very essential purposes. A person infected with coronavirus may show flu-like symptoms or none at all.

Daily, the Department of Health releases an update on the coronavirus cases in PH. For today, May 27, DOH noted a 380-increase on the total cases of COVID-19 recorded in the country. The total is now at 15,049 and the active cases are 10,639.

DOH reported 94 new recoveries bringing the total recoveries to 3,506. With regards to the death toll, it is now at 904 after 18 new deaths due to coronavirus were recorded.
