Jonvic Remulla’s plea to include middle class families in the SAP earns reaction from Robin Padilla.
ROBIN PADILLA – Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla’s plea to the president regarding middle class earners in his province received reaction from Robin Padilla.
Last April 6, Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla sent a letter to President Duterte in plea to include middle class families in his province in the national government’s social amelioration program. This is because the middle class earners are also affected by the economic consequences of the virus and not just the poor families.
He indicated there that the middle class people are often overlooked but pay the most taxes, abide the law, and keeps the economy alive. In response to this, the president agreed to the statement of the governor, however, the government doesn’t have enough funds. These are all amid the enhanced community quarantine which is extended until April 30.
And with these, the action star and known supporter of the current administration, Robin Padilla, reacted to this through an Instagram post. He told the governor that the president knows what he is doing but cannot do anything about his plea due to limited resources.
The only advantage for the middle class earners is that paying of the taxes is suspended for now. He added, “Ngayon sa pagharap natin sa digmaan laban sa kalaban na hindi nakikita ang mahirap at pinakamahihirap and tatamaan nito ng big time PLAGUE.”
He also furthered that the poor are being prioritized because once they contracted the virus, “death on a massive scale” will be expected.
