How true is the vote-buying accusation against Jonvic Remulla and Jolo Revilla for Election 2019?
Election 2019 – Prominent politicians in Cavite Jonvic Remulla and Jolo Revilla, aiming for the Governor and Vice Governor positions, respectively, are accused of vote-buying.
Remulla has been serving as the governor of the province for several terms now. He is the son of also former Governor Juanito Remulla and a brother of former news reporter Gilbert Remulla who also entered the world of politics.
Revilla, also came from a prominent political clan in the said province. His father actor Bong Revilla, is now seeking reelection as a Senator. His mother, actress Lani Mercado served as the mayor of Bacoor for several terms already and she was also the Representatives for the 2nd District of Cavite.
As the final day of Election 2019 on May 13 is fast approaching, netizens are more vigilant to be responsible voters.
This is what netizen “Jeremy” showed on his recent post on Twitter.
“T4paT sa b4yan, Tap4t sa Usapan” humingi ata si anak sa tatay nya ng pang vote buying. Report lang sakin ‘to ng kuya ko since nasa review session ako for board exam kahapon. May vote buying na naganap sa likod ng street namin,” he wrote.
He included a photo of a brown envelope with Php200 above a white T-shirt with the names of Jonvic Remulla and Jolo Revilla.
The netizen also said, “Knowing na yung bahay kung san naganap yung vote buying is servant sa simbahan. Nakakalungkot lang talaga. NO TO REVILLA”.
According to @phvote the vote-buying incident, reportedly, happened in Brgy. Buhay na Tubig in Imus, Cavite.
