ABS-CBN To Re-Air Classic Teleserye Amid Metro Manila ‘Community Quarantine’

ABS-CBN – The media network announced that they will air their classic teleserye amid Metro Manila community quarantine.

Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte imposed a month-long “community quarantine” in Metro Manila to control the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The government advised the public to avoid public gathering amid the pandemic.

In a previous article, the mayors in Metro Manila asked the malls and other shops to close during the coronavirus lockdown. Exemptions include groceries, supermarkets, banks, pharmacies, medical facilities, and restaurants with home delivery services.

Based on a report from ABS-CBN News, the biggest media network in the country, ABS-CBN announced that they will stop taping for all tv series in compliance with the government concerning the coronavirus pandemic.

FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano,” “Pamilya Ko,” “Make It With You,and “A Soldier’s Heart” will have a temporary break on Kapamilya’s primetime block.

According to the report, ABS-CBN will bring back some of their top-rating program and air their iWant original series starting March 16, 2020.

Coney Reyes, Jodi Sta. Maria, and Xyriel Manabat’s inspirational series “100 Days To Heaven” will temporarily take over the time slot of “Pamilya Ko.”

Coco Martin’s top-rated show, FPJAP, will be temporarily replaced by Zaijan Jaranilla’s drama “May Bukas Pa.”

Nadine Lustre and James Reid’s series “On the Wings of Love” will replace Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano’s “Make It With You” for the meantime.

Based on the report, the Kapamilya network is also airing an iWant original series “I Am U” top-billed by Julia Barretto. The mystery thriller program will replace Gerald Anderson’s “A Soldier’s Heart”

The network assured their “viewers that the changes are only temporary.” They said they will resume their regular programming once the condition improves.
