DOH Records 11 New Coronavirus Cases in the Philippines

NEW CORONAVIRUS CASES – The Department of Health (DOH) recorded 11 new cases of the COVID-19 in the Philippines.

Currently, the Philippines is faced with a huge challenge and that is to curb the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus. It was last week when the record was ignited again after two (2) Filipinos tested positive for the disease.

The 4th patient has a travel history while the 5th patient has not left the country for an international trip. The latter is a 62-year-old man – a case of local transmission as previously confirmed by the health department.

The wife of the 62-year-old man also tested positive for coronavirus. Following the announcement, four (4) more cases were recorded bringing the total to 10.

New Coronavirus Cases Philippines

Yesterday, March 9, the Department of Health (DOH) announced that 10 more people tested positive for coronavirus. Most of them are within Metro Manila.

A few hours after the total reached 20, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte revealed in a press conference that four (4) more people have been detected with the disease. It brought the total to 24.

Recently, an update from DOH crossed the surface. The health department, through its official Facebook page, announced that 11 new coronavirus cases were confirmed in the Philippines.

Currently, the total COVID-19 cases is 35. As of this writing, there are still no further details regarding the matter. More updates may be posted soon.

UPDATE: The DOH clarified that there are nine (9) new cases and not eleven (11) bringing the total to 33 and not 35.
