Guidelines for Community Quarantine Against Coronavirus Released by Malacañang Palace

The Malacañang Palace released the guidelines on how to implement the community quarantine against the coronavirus disease.

On Saturday (March 14, 2020), Malacañang said that it is set to release the guidelines for community quarantine in Metro Manila as a precautionary measure to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Palace made the announcement after Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases discussed the details regarding the implementation of President Duterte’s order during a meeting.

Recently, Malacañang has finally released the memorandum discussing the measures and guidelines for managing the deadly virus. The memorandum provides the guidelines for the proper implementation of the emergency directives.

The document has a subject of “Stringent social distancing measures and further guidelines for the management of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) situation.

The memorandum is addressed to the heads of departments, agencies, offices, and instrumentalities of the government, government-owned or controlled corporations, government financial institutions, state universities and colleges, and local government units.

Executive secretary Salvador C. Medialdea signed the memorandum with the power bestowed by President Duterte.
