Talent manager Shirley Kuan reportedly had this reason for resigning as the manager of Kapuso A-list actress Bea Alonzo.
This weekend, news circulated that Shirley is no longer Bea’s manager. Shirley had this decision a month after Bea tied the knot with her now husband, Puregold President Vincent Co.
To recall, when Shirley was asked about Bea and Vincent’s wedidng, she said that she had no idea about this, and that she was surprised as much as what the public felt.
Based on the article in Bandera, as what was circulated, it was alleged that Shirley Kuan’s reason for resigning was that because Bea Alonzo did not defend her amid that allegations that she was one of the reasons why the Spain wedding was cancelled.
In an interview, Chris Cahilig, talent manager and PR specialist was asked about the news that he is now Bea’s new manager. “Yup, interim para may mag-asikaso since biglaan ang resignation (ni Shirley Kuan),” Chris said, adding that he was just waiting for the formal announcement before speaking about this.
Chris was also asked whether Bea and Shirley had spoken after the actress received her former manager’s resignation letter, and until when their contract runs. “No idea kung nagkausap na, hindi ako nagtanong and regarding the contract, ako kasi nasa transition (period) pa lang ako at getting the details as of now,” the PR specialist said.
Chris also shared that he accepted the offer to take care of Bea’s showbiz engagements from now on because of his personal with the actress and her husband. “I love the couple and it’s something that I do rin naman. This is something I’ll do just for the love of the couple. At kaya rin interim talaga just to take care of the unfinished businesses and inquiries, ang dami kasi,” he said.
Chris Cahilig also shared that as the rules stated, Shirley Kuan would get her part in her existing projects with Bea Alonzo. “This week lang ako nag-take over, so may gap na ilang araw,” he shared, as Shirley resigned last August 11.
