PAGASA – Tail End Of Cold Front To Bring Rains Over Samar Provinces

PAGASA – Weather bureau PAGASA recently said that the tail end of a cold front will bring rains over the provinces of Samar this January 20.

The bureau elaborated in its early weather forecast that the tail end of a cold front (TECF) will bring cloudy skies with scattered to widespread rains and thuderstorms over the provinces of Samar.

According to GMA NEws, meanwhile, the rest of Visayas will face cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms. The bureau warned of flash floods or landslides especially during heavy rainfall in Samar provinces.

The northeast monsoon or amihan will affcet Luzon. Furthermore, it will bring cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, CALABARZON, the Bicol Region, Aurora, Mindoro Provinces, Marinduque and Romblon.

The bureau warned of strong winds that might occur intermittently especially in coastal and mountainous areas.

Palawan and Mindanao, on the other hand, will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides might occur especially during severe thunderstorms.

As for the capital, Ilocos Region and the rest of Central Luzon, they will face partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains.

As per the report, the seaboards of Northern Luzon and the eastern sections of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will have moderate to rough coastal waters while the rest of the country will have light to moderate coastal waters.
