Latest Weather Update Released by PAGASA (January 18)
LATEST WEATHER UPDATE – The state weather bureau PAGASA released the latest weather updates in the country today.
On Saturday (January 18, 2020), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration reported that the northeast monsoon would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA said that the ‘Amihan’ would bring cloudy weather conditions with isolated rains over Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Aurora, and Quezon as well as Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon.
The localized thunderstorms would also bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao. The weather agency also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flashfloods and landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the weather bureau said that the ongoing volcanic eruption in Taal could possibly reduce road visibility due to the ashfall in municipalities located in the western section of Taal.
The coastal water condition over northern Luzon would be moderate to rough while the slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the remaining parts of the country, according to the weather bureau.
