Filipina actress and businesswoman Judy Anne Santos is one of the famous celebrities in the Philippines. She started her showbiz career at a very young age and has starred on countless films and tv series.
She won the “Best Actress” award on her latest Metro Manila Film Festival entry ‘Mindanao’ on the awards night. The movie also won the “Best Picture.” The movie is about a Muslim mother who is taking care of her cancer-stricken daughter played by Yuna Tangog.
Judy Ann Santos’ MMFF entry was allegedly shown in fewer cinemas. She also responded to the people who criticized the film. The actress shared her own meme saying, “Direk! Balita ko more than 100 cinemas na tayo!! Pasalamat tayo sa mga bashers [natin].”
In a previous article, Judy Ann took to the social media to announce that a portion of their earnings will be donated to the KyThe Foundation. It is a non-profit, non-stock organization that helps children who are diagnosed with cancer.
Last week, Judy Ann Santos enumerate the cinemas that still screening her movie ‘Mindanao’ on her Instagram account. In the caption, she thanked three theaters that were added on the list.
A netizen behind @threepointerguy belittles the actress’ movie doing poorly at the box-office. He/she claimed that it was a worthless film.
“Napakawalang kwentang pelikula at wala kayong kinita sa takilya!!!!!!!!! @officialjuday tuwang tuwa kapa at nadagdagan ang pelikula mo mahiya ka sa balat mo isa ka talagang FLAPSINA QUEEN!”
The 41-year-old actress responded to the netizen by writing: “thank you! Mababaw kasi kaligayahan ko e.” The basher later changed its username to @misterdaks2020.
