This is the reason why ‘Starla’ series of Judy Ann Santos will end soon
Prominent drama actress Judy Ann Santos revealed the reason why her TV series Starla will end soon several months after its premiere.
Juday has already established her name in the industry as one of the effective protagonists. It is known to many that she starred in the longest-running soap opera Mara Clara. Through that she was able to prove her acting prowess.
During the recently-concluded Metro Manila Film Festival 2019 Awards Night, Juday was hailed as the Best Actress for the movie Mindanao. This proved once again her superb talent in portraying her role.
Because of her good reputation in the Philippine entertainment industry, even prominent executives of the Kapamilya network respects her, just like Charo Santos-Cancio who waited for her for four hours. While shooting for Starla, an emergency happened and Juday’s child was rushed to the hospital. Charo was considerate enough to wait for her return to resume the shooting.
Though the TV series is receiving good feedback, it is still about to end. In line with this, Judy Ann Santos reveals the reason why it had to end soon. “When they presented Starla to me, talagang 1 season lang siya, at that time kasi, masyado nang napapagod ang mga tao sa mahahabang teleserye,” the wife of Ryan Agoncillo said.
The series started airing last October 2019 and after more than a month, the finale conference was held, based on the article from PUSH. “So when they presented Starla to me, aaminin ko tinanong ko sila, ‘one season lang ba talaga ‘to?’ Kasi ‘pag halimbawang bumababa ang rating ng teleserye, ang bagsak naman noon, hindi sa istorya, sa artista,” the award-winning actress said.
Jokingly, she shared, “Tinanong ko kung may diary at kuwintas na hahanapin, wala star lang talaga, so, okay na ako.” Juday also said that even though the story can still be extended but the plot is already arranged beautifully.
After this stint, Juday will focus first on her children before accepting another project, based on the article.
