Here’s a fiery reply from Judy Ann Santos to bashers of her movie ‘Mindanao’
Renowned drama actress Judy Ann Santos fired back to bashers of her Metro Manila Film Festival 2019 movie Mindanao.
The said movie directed by award-winning filmmaker Brillante Mendoza, dominated the MMFF awards night. That included the Best Director. It is also hailed as the Best Picture while Juday got the Best Actress award. Aside from these major recognition, Allen Dizon, her co-star in the movie also won the Best Actor award.
Despite the recognition and the good reviews that Mindanao received, sad to say, it was only shown in limited cinemas. Apparently, this kind of problem has been happening in the film festival for several years now.
In line with the issue that the award-winning movie is shown in fewer cinemas, Judy Ann has this reaction. The drama actress fired back to those who are criticizing the film.
Juday shared her own meme on her Instagram account. “Direk! Balita ko more than 100 cinemas na tayo!! Pasalamat tayo sa mga bashers [natin],” the meme stated.
Moreover, Juday wrote this in the caption: “Ayan na!! Nadagdagan na movie tgeaters ng mindanao!! may chance pa pong mapanood ang aming munting pelikula!”
This good news also delighted her husband, Eat Bulaga host Ryan Agoncillo. Several of her fans also expressed excitement for her and the movie while some also aired their frustration to cinemas who did not allow Mindanao to be shown.
