Cristine Reyes Replies To Netizen Who Accused Her Of “Animal Cruelty” Over Dog Sledding Tour
CRISTINE REYES – ABS-CBN actress Cristine Reyes replied to a netizen who accused her of animal cruelty.
Animal cruelty is when someone intentionally put animals in situations that scare, harm or terrorize them. There are lots of organizations that aim to protect the welfare of animals like dogs, birds, and cats.
Recently, Kapamilya actress Cristine Reyes was criticized by netizens after she shared her dog sledding tour in Finland with her daughter Amarah.
On November 11, Cristine Reyes uploaded the video on her Instagram. It can be seen in the video that she and her daughter were pulled by five huskies at a safari in Rovaniemi, Finland.
The actress’s daughter really enjoyed their Christmas vacation. It came with a caption, “Dreaming of a white Christmas.”
However, a netizen didn’t like the video that much. She said the idea of using the huskies to pull tourists across the snow doesn’t seem fair.
“Naawa ako sa mga dogs, sana machine nalang ang gamit nila pang hila instead of the dogs… it can be entertaining naman kahit machine ang gagamitin instead of these innocent dogs…my kids doesn’t like riding anything if animals are involved… for them its animal cruelty.”
Cristine Reyes responded to the netizen with a calm reply. She said she’s also against animal abuse and she’s aware what ‘animal cruelty means.’
“To each their own. We had the same sentiments but while waiting we had the privilege of learning how they run the business and most especially how they care for all the dogs. You can go and see for yourself. I just wanted to share this precious moment we had. I have two dogs and I think I’m fully aware what animal cruelty means. Again, to each their own. Merry Christmas”
