2019 SEA Games Boasts Modern & Extravagant Opening Ceremony

2019 SEA GAMES – Today marks an important event in Philippine history as the country is about to officially open the 2019 South East Asian Games.

The event is the biggest SEA Games in history with 530 sporting events spread across 50 venues. These are in Subic, Clark, Tarlac, Tagaytay, Batangas, and Metro Manila.

With this, the Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISCOG) said that the venues just need some finishing touches. In addition, they said the previous issues were all addressed.

According to a report from ABS-CBN, the organizers said that the opening ceremony in the Philippine Arena would be modern and extravagant. So what can we expect from the opening ceremony?

As per the report, the event would highlight some of the Philippine’s biggest talents. International music artist “apl.de.ap” of the Black Eyed Peas” would be performing along with Lani Misalucha.

President Rodrigo Duterte is also expected to attend to declare the official opening of the 2019 SEA Games. Duterte also said that the tickets to some of the games would be given out to the public.

PHISGOC Chair Alan Peter Cayetano stated that all games with tickets that aren’t sold out yet would be given to the public for free. He added that they want Filipinos a chance to see the games.

There are also non-ticketed sports that are open to the public. These included sports like golf, squash, and floorball.

The opening ceremony for the 2019 SEA Games would start at 7:00 P.M. tonight (Nov. 30, 2019) at the Philippine Arena.

Cayetano also stated that they have contingency plans set for the incoming typhoon Tisoy when it enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
