Latest Updates On Tropical Storm Falcon (July 18) Released by PAGASA

The state weather bureau PAGASA released the latest updates about Tropical Storm Falcon as it maintained its strength and moves northward.

On Thursday (July 18, 2019), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued the latest weather updates in the country.

PAGASA reported that Tropical Storm Falcon or locally known as “Danas” maintained its strength with maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 80 kph moving 20 kph at a north direction.

The weather agency also reported that Batanes was still under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No.2 while Babuyan group of islands are still under TCWS No.1.

Falcon was last spotted at 230 kilometers northeast of Basco, Batanes and was expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Thursday evening or Friday (July 19, 2019).

Moderate to occasionally heavy rains are expected over Ilocos Region, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and northern Palawan.

Light to at times heavy rains are also expected over Metro Manila and the remaining parts of the country.

Another Low-Pressure Area was found at 265 kilometers west of Sinait, Ilocos Sur, which was expected to intensify into a tropical depression within the next few days, according to the weather bureau.
