Filipina-Australian Catriona Gray was hailed as Miss Universe 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand on December 17 last year.
During the prestigious pageant, the Filipina candidate flaunted her Pinoy-themed gown and accessories.
Catriona Gray’s fellowmen lauded her for being patriotic during the Miss Universe competition.
On her homecoming parade, thousands of people waited on the streets just to lay eye on the Filipina beauty queen.
The 25-year-old reigning Miss Universe spend most of her time in New York and her advocacies.
On June 29, Catriona Gray went to Thailand to attend the coronation night of Miss Thailand Universe 2019.
Based on a report from Asiaone, the prestigious crown was won by a Thai-Canadian named Paweensuda “Fahsai” Drouin.
The 26-year-old beauty queen will be representing her beautiful county in South Korea this year.
Before she was pronounced as the winner, Catriona Gray gave a speech to the Thai people who supported her. She also gave the candidate a piece of advice.
“I have no doubt that anyone of you would represent your country of Thailand in an amazing way… the advice that I would give our new Miss Universe Thailand 2019 would be to enjoy the journey,” she said.
