As her float arrives at every spot of cheering fans, the Pinay beauty queen waves untiringly.
Catriona is all smile as she waves back to her “kababayans”.
She is riding in a red-dominated float with a huge replica of her Miss Universe 2018 crown.
Based on the report from GMA, Cat said that she felt like she will have her crying moment during her homecoming parade.
She expected to that she will cry as a reaction when her name was called as the winner in the pageant last December in Thailand.
However, her expected cry-cry scenario did not happen during the coronation night.
“So I feel like my crying moment is going to be during my homecoming parades, because you know, even when I look back in the last couple of years, my most emotional moments as a title holder as a beauty queen have been when I’m surrounded by the people,” she said, based on the report.
During the homecoming parade, Catriona Gray is wearing a green and white floral modern Filipiniana jumpsuit.
According to the Instagram post of @missuniverseph, the wardrobe of the Miss Universe 2018 was inspired by the Anahaw leaves and the Sampaguita flower.
Catriona Gray will have a more intimate homecoming parade on February 24 at the Araneta Center.
