Darryl Yap shared a post criticizing Vivoree Esclito
Director Darryl Yap has slammed Kapamilya actress and former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Vivoree Esclito after she criticized four female senators.
Vivoree slammed Sen. Imee Marcos, Sen. Pia Cayetano, and Sen. Camille Villar while Sen. Loren Legarda was sworn in as the newest Senate President Pro Tempore.
On Instagram, the actress shared a photo of the aforementioned lawmakers who supported the ouster of Sen. Tito Sotto as Senate President to be replaced by Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano.
In her post, she shared a photo of the female senators with the caption, “I am all for empowering women, but not when these are the women in power. Nakakahiya kayo.”
Following this, Direk Darryl Yap slammed the former PBB housemate through his Facebook post that was shared on Wednesday, May 13.
“Ano ang nakakahiya sa pagpanig sa soberanya ng bansa Vivoree? Ano ang nakakahiya sa pagsasama-sama ng mga babae laban sa kabuktutan,” the director said.
Then he attacked Vivoree. “Himbis kasi mag-ahit ka ng bigote, ito ang inaatupag mo eh,” Direk Darryl wrote in his post.
In the comment section of his post, the director told the public to just Google who Vivoree is and donate a nameplate to her, which apparently meant that she is not that popular. Several netizens expressed that they had no idea who Vivoree is.
Sen. Loren was a former member of the majority bloc in the Senate under the leadership of former Senate President Tito Sotto.
However, when the coup in the Senate took place, Sen. Legarda crossed the line and elected Sen. Cayetano as the new Senate President.
