Here is what Stella Marquez Araneta revealed about Miss Universe PH franchise.
MISS UNIVERSE PH FRANCHISE – Stella Marquez Araneta finally speaks up amid rumors of Chavit Singson now owning the franchise.
There had been stirring rumors about the Miss Universe franchise in the Philippines being now owned by former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson. It has been rumored that he was in talks with the Miss Universe Organization (MUO) about the possibility of the matter, thus, sparked speculations.
But the matriarch of the Binibining Pilipinas Charities, Incorporated (BPCI) Stella Marquez-Araneta told members of the press in an ambush interview on Thursday that the franchise is still with them. This is in contrast of the stirring rumors online.
In a report from ABS-CBN, the BCPI chair has said, “It’s still with us. If some people are saying something else, let them talk about it.”
The rumors have been fueled after LCS Group of Singson financed the staging of Miss Universe in January 2017 and when he accompanied Gray to the country after winning. Moreover, his daughter Platinum Skies CEO Richelle Singson-Michael was one of the judges of Miss Universe 2018 pageant in Bangkok.
The BCPI has accordingly conducting the pageant annually since 1994 and all four Filipino Miss Universe winners — Gloria Diaz (1969), Margie Moran (1973), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), and Catriona Gray (2018) have made it through the prestigious international pageant through Binibining Pilipinas.

Inoffer pa lang naman kasi sa LCS Group. Abangan na lang natin ang kahihinatnan.
That is because di tinanggap ni Singson ang offer ng MUO. Mas gusto nalang ng mga Singson magsponsor kesa magproduce ng sariling pageant.
ok naman si Madam Araneta pero sana lang next time ihire talaga ang Filipino designers. Just like Catriona.
Huli ka na po sa balita. Ever since Pia competed inallow na ni Madam SMA ang Filipino designers.
