Russia Hit by 7.4 Magnitude Earthquake

EARTHQUAKE – The United States Geological Survey (USGS) recorded a 7.4 magnitude quake in Russia.

Following the strong 6.2 quake in the nearby areas of Taiwan Strait and the 7 magnitude quake that struck Alaska, another strong quake recently hit a part of the world.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the United States Geological Survey (USGS) recorded an earthquake in Russia’s Kamchatka peninsula. It has a magnitude of 7.4.

According to the report, the USGS initially recorded the quake at 7.8 magnitude located 50 miles west of Nikolskoye. It has a depth of 9 kilometers.

Furthermore, initially, the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center warned of possible tsunamis within 300 km of the epicenter along Russia’s coasts. Later on, the agency announced that the threat is over.

Based on the report, no damage caused by the strong quake in Russia was reported.
