In the Philippine entertainment industry, there are quite a lot of controversies in 2018 and here are the biggest controversial celebrity issues this year.
Darren Espanto and JK Labajo
These two Kapamilya singers had a word war on social media. JK’s alleged “gayness” tweet to Darren was the start and so even their fans got involved with the issue.
On the other hand, JK denied that he was the one who tweeted that but everything has been said and done already in front of the public.
Ellen Adarna
The girlfriend of John Lloyd Cruz made a great controversy when she accused a minor of doing paparazzi moves to her.
Ellen said that the female teenager was taking videos and photos of her while she was eating in a restaurant.
She was told to have a public apology but that did not happen and so the mother of the teenager filed cases of cybercrime and child abuse against her.
Gretchen Barretto
La Greta was faced with great criticisms when she was seen in a video with friends laughing about the request of a letter sender for their charitable endeavor on Instagram.
Later on, they explained their side and had a public apology regarding what happened.
Gretchen Fullido
The entertainment news anchor and reporter of ABS-CBN is included in the list of biggest controversial celebrity issues this year because of the harassment case she filed against two TV executives.
Gretchen also accused Ces Drilon of victim-shaming her.
Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona
The singer-actress revealed that she allegedly experienced physical abuse from love team partner and rumored boyfriend Elmo Magalona.
Janella’s mom, Jenine Desiderio, apparently affirmed the claim of her daughter.
Amid this issue, Janella was allegedly dating a new guy.
