Earthquake Hits Caracas, Venezuela
EARTHQUAKE – The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that a quake jolted the northeastern coast near Venezuela.
Following a report about a quake shaking the island nations of Vanuatu, another report about an earthquake crossed the surface. Based on a report on PhilStar, USGS said that a quake jolted the northeastern coast near Venezuela.
The said quake has a magnitude of 7.3 and its epicenter is located near the coast of Sucre. It has a depth of 123 kilometers or 76 miles. It was felt in Caracas which has a population of around four million.
According to the report, there are no reported damages and injuries caused by the earthquake. The US Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said that there is tsunami risk from the quake.
