3 PH Universities Join World’s Top Universities 2018
3 Philippine universities including UP, AdMU, and DLSU have joined the world’s top universities in 2018 subject rankings.
The latest 2018 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings by Subject has been joined by The University of the Philippines (UP), the Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU), and the De La Salle University (DLSU).
The top universities all over the world would compete in 5 broad subject areas such as Arts & Humanities, Engineering & Technology, Life Sciences & Medicine, Natural Sciences, and Social Sciences and Management.
Here are the rankings of each school in the following subjects.
The University of the Philippines (UP)
- Arts and Humanities – 266
- Engineering Technology – 401-450
- Life Sciences and Medicine – 401-450
- Social Sciences and Management – 238
Ateneo De Manila University (AdMU)
- Arts and Humanities – 321
- Social Sciences and Management – 385
De La Salle University
- Arts and Humanities – 401-450
- Social Sciences and Management – 401-450
The Harvard University ranked first for more subject compared to other universities followed by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of Oxford, according to the Quacquarelli Symonds.
“The QS World University Rankings by Subject are compiled annually to help prospective students identify the leading universities in a particular subject. Research citations, along with the results of major global surveys of employers and academics are used to rank universities,” QS said quoted by Rappler.
