Jack Ma Meets President Duterte Calls Faster Internet
The Chinese business magnate Jack Ma met President Rodrigo Duterte and called for a faster internet connection in the Philippines.
On Thursday (October 25, 2017), the Alibaba Group Founder and Executive Chairman Jack Ma pays to the courtesy call of Malacañang and met President Duterte during his visit in the Philippines to deliver his speech at the De La Salle University (DLSU) in Manila.
Jack Ma described his encounter with Duterte in a closed-door meeting as “perfect”. However, Palace did not provide any details and information regarding Duterte’s meeting with the Chinese businessman.
Ma also posed the signature fist-bump gesture together with President Duterte after their meeting.
The businessman granted the brief interview asked by the reporters who found him while waiting for his car outside the Palace hall. Before leaving Malacañang, Ma also granted the request of the journalist and Palace guests to pose for a photograph.
The Alibaba founder also urged the private sectors and Philippine government to improve the internet connection in the country. He also urged the telecommunication companies to invest in better internet services.
