Visayas, Bicol Region Will Be Affected By Tropical Storm Quedan

The Tropical Storm Quedan with an international name of Saola will affect the Visayas, Bicol region, and other parts of the country.

On Thursday (October 26, 2017), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration said that the tropical storm will bring cloudy skies and scattered rains in the Visayas, Bicol region, Aurora, and Quezon province.

The state weather bureau said that Quedan has maximum sustained winds of 80 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 95 kph as moves northwest at 21 kph.

Pagasa said that the tropical depression Quedan was last spotted about 1, 250 kilometers east of Casiguran, Aurora.

Palawan and Mindanao are expected to experience cloudy skies with scattered rain and thunderstorms due to the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ).

Meanwhile, cloudy skies with isolated light rain could be experienced in Metro Manila and the remaining parts of Luzon.
