KAKAI BAUTISTA – The comedienne and performer Kakai Bautista shared to social media how she admired the Broadway Diva and The Voice coach Lea Salonga.
In each person’s victories in life, there will always be that someone who has lifted you up and helped you all along to be where you are right now.
Mostly, it would be our family, but then there are these persons who have remarkably left a memory that will always remind you what you are before.
Just, like Kakai, almost all the population knows her because of her exceptional voice and her undeniable sense of humor.
But like every person, there is this one woman who has changed her life.
On the Instagram account of Kakai, she shared her story before where she was once a wardrobe assistant of Miss Lea Salonga.
She even described how “amazing” Lea Salonga is as a person.
On her shared post of photo of her and Lea of whom both smiling for the camera, she wrote a written caption that told:
“Almost 17 years ago, I had the chance to know this amazing person. I was her Wadrobe assistant sa “They’re Playing Our Song”. TPOS was first staged here in Phils, by Singapore Repertory Theater at AFP theater in Camp Aguinaldo. It was my first job in professional theater. Pawing pawi everyday ang pagod sa paglalaba, pamamalantsa, pagbuhat ng mabibigat ng costumes, paglalakad ng ilang kilometro (wala akong pangtaxi), pagtiis ng gutom, DAHIL SA KABUTIHAN ng iyong Puso. Salamat sa pagiging Ikaw araw araw sa loob ng 8 buwan. OO NAPAKA-SWERTE KO at nakasama at nakatrabaho kita, pero MAS MASWERTE AKO dahil sa INSPIRASYONG binigay mo sa BUHAY Ko. gagawin ko parin yun ng paulit ulit kung bibigyan ako ng pagkakataon, i will always be your wardrobe assistant!!
