Lea Salonga Responds To Cyber Bullying, Bashers Of Nadine Lustre

Lea Salonga has a say to cyber bullies and bashers of Nadine Lustre.

The Broadway Diva, Lea Salonga, has something to say about the rampant and undying issue of cyber bullying and to the netizens who bash young actress Nadine Lustre.

Bullying over the net is truly a broad and a complex topic. Some may say that it is also really a complicated topic, for the victims are not just affected physically, worse than that is that they are mostly affected mentally, emotionally and psychologically.

According to a source even, the victim feels powerless, humiliated and exposed. The reason why they tend to isolate themselves, get depressed, not socially active, disinterested at some things and sometimes would cause for them to take their own lives just to escape the despair.

As reflected on the Twitter account of  Lea, she did reacted to the never-ending and unsolved issue yet about the cyber bullying and that have been included on her list is the bashing for Nadine Lustre.

June 29, 2017, as posted by Lea around 7:25 PM, she indicated on her status box, “How do we as a collective put an end to online bullying? What prompts the bullying in the first place? Yes, I am asking for your opinions.”

After the post, the singer also indicated the following on the comment box:

“How about we propose this: mag-usap nang matino at sumagot din nang matino. Pag may bastusan na, instant block. English translation coming.”

“Communicate decently. Once the bullying or otherwise targeted uncouth speech begins, block asap.”

“They’re targets. I can’t blame a lot of celebs for leaving social media.”

Followers, of course, given the freedom to speak their mind and being triggered by the question of the singer answered through the comment section.

One user of the site left this comment, “One example is Nadine Lustre. Bashers have the audacity to comment that she looks like a ‘katulong’, ‘panga’, ‘hahagisan nila ng mantika’.”

And the artist reacted, “How mean. I think Nadine is a really beautiful woman. I love her dusky color too. Ganda sa personal pati. Jackpot yung BF sa kanya.”
