President Rodrigo Duterte witnessed one of his aide-de-camp got engaged in Butuan City.
President Rodrigo Duterte was very happy while witnessing his female aide-de-camp got engaged with her boyfriend in Butuan City.
The engagement was witnessed also by other members of the Philippine National Police took place after the President delivered his speech on Thursday afternoon.
Police Senior Insp. Arvin Jumillo proposed for the second time to his girlfriend of five years, Police Senior Insp. Romea Alnieza Kinang, who happened to be the close in assistant of the President.

“My beloved President sir, humihiling po ako ng tatlong minute lang po sa ngalan ng pag-ibig, sir. I would like to take this, I would like to grab this very rare opportunity and perfect timing, sir. Lingid sa kaalaman ng nakararami, sir, iyong aide-de-camp n’yo, sir, si Police Senior Inspector Alnieza Kinang, sir, is my girlfriend for five years and 10 months already,” Jumillo began his speech when Duterte was about to leave.
Speaking to a microphone, he shared their love story. The couple was supposed to get married this October but it was cancelled because they fought and broke up.
“Ganoon pa man, sir, I’m thankful na talagang everything happens for a reason. Have it been happen na kinasal tayo, hindi mangyayari ito na makapag-propose ako sa’yo before the President of the Republic and viewing public throughout the world,” he explained as his senior officials cheered him on.
He then faced and addressed Kinang.
“Romea Alnieza Kinang, when you left me, I realized na for the past five years and 10 months na we’ve been together, na-realize ko na marami akong pagkukulang as your boyfriend. But don’t you worry, pakasalan mo lang ako, I still have forever para bumawi as your husband,” Jumillo vowed before he got down on one knee.
Kinang said yes!
Everyone in the crowd cheered. The President was also very happy seeing the couple. Jumilla shook hands with the chief executive. They posed for a photo before Duterte left the venue.
