Chinese Coast Guards Drive Away Fil Fishermen

Filipino Fishermen were driven away by Chinese Coast Guards in West Philippine Sea.

Chinese Coast Guards keep on driving away Filipino fishermen even after the International Court has sided on the Philippines on the issue of the maritime rights in the West Philippine Sea.

Despite that the United Nation has released that the Chinese’ intrusion on the territories declared to be owned by the Philippines was a form of violation of the sovereignty of the country, still China has not surrendered on the battle for the islands.

In fact, one report in ABS-CBN has showed how the Chinese Coast Guards tend to do numerous ways to prohibit the Filipino fishermen from accessing on the islands.

In the report, Chiara Zambrano shared on air via a call about her plight with the Filipino fishermen and how they were stopped and driven away by the Chinese Coast Guards in the Scarborough Shoal.

According to the field reporter, they just came from the Scarborough Shoal where the coast guards of China have asked them to leave the recently-declared Philippine territory.

Chiara said that the fishermen seemed like have not enjoyed fishing on the island as they were just on their around 20th fish caught when the speed boats of China came and kept on encircling them.

Further, as to her, through a megaphone, the men in the speedboat introduced themselves that they were the Chinese coast guards and even asked the Filipino fishermen to leave as part of the enforcement of their said law.

According to Chiara, the speed boats came from the giant coast guard ship that exactly replicates the ship that tried to blocked their way and patrols on the Spratly islands.
