The Department of Education has recently announced that eligible DepEd employees will receive a one-time Productivity Enhancement Incentive (PEI) equivalent to one month basic salary.
The release of the PEI is pursuant to Executive Order 181, s. 2015 following the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) release of Php 14 Billion budget to the DepEd.
The DBM has already issued the Special Allotment Release Order (SARO) to cover the release of funds for the grant of the PEI for fiscal year 2015 as DepEd complied with all the conditions stipulated under Section 4 of EO 181.
Funds are being downloaded to DepEd regional offices while DepEd Secretary Armin Luistro FSC has directed its field offices to prepare the payroll to all qualified employees.
Qualified employees are those who “have rendered at least a total or an aggregate of four months of service as of May 31, 2015, including leaves of absence with pay, and who are still in the service as of May 31, 2015; and obtained at least a satisfactory performance rating.
For those who have rendered less than four months of satisfactory service as of May 31, 2015, they may still be paid the full amount of the PEI upon completion of the four months and satisfactory service rating requirements before the end of 2015.
